Sparked by an unexpected encounter with Heidi Honigmann's Metal and Melancholy (1994), this essay film reflects on migration, social inequality, intergenerational memory, and the stories that families choose not to tell.
Through conversations, ephemera and the streets of Perú, a story builds from the power of cinema and it’s ability to awaken histories inherited through the practice of silence.
